Cancellation/No Show Policy for Appointments & Procedures
We understand that there are times when you must miss an appointment due to
emergencies or obligations for work or family. However, when you do not call to cancel
an appointment, or do not show up for a scheduled appointment, another patient loses
an opportunity to be seen. By not showing up or calling, you may be preventing another
patient from getting much needed treatment. Conversely, the situation may arise where
another client fails to cancel their appointment and we are unable to see your pet due to
a seemingly full schedule.
Although we have always had a cancellation policy, the dramatic increase in missed
appointments with no notification or short notice has caused us to enforce a policy of
charging a fee for no-show appointments or those not cancelled in a timely fashion.
These policies are similar to what your physicians have had in place for decades.
However, since the clinic is closed Friday through Sunday, Monday appointments need to
be cancelled by the preceding Thursday, so we can allow time to schedule other patients
waiting to be seen.
Effective June 15 2016, if you miss your appointment and/or you do not call to
cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance, you will be charged a fifty
dollar ($50) fee.
Effective June 1, 2022, we will require a $100 deposit via credit card to hold appointments for NEW
patients (initial visits). This deposit can be refunded to your card IF you cancel with at least 48 hours
notice. As long as you keep the appointment, the deposit will be credited toward the cost of the
initial visit. If you do not show up for your appointment or cancel with less than 48 hours notice, the
deposit will NOT be refunded and serve as a cancellation fee.
Thank you for being a valued patient and for your understanding and cooperation, which
will enable us to better serve the needs all our patients
